I really don't have anything special to add today, wish I did. I just came on to check for new comments and saw that I now have 100 followers!!!!!! Thanks everyone for finding my random babble interesting!!!!!!! (off to get a cake now lol)
I am amazed at how attached I have gotten to the people who regularly follow my blog and leave encouraging comments and tid bits of information. It really is a small world afterall (Stealing a Disney quote). Congratulations!
Make that 101, Chris. I just found your blog last night. I'm an urban farmer in Columbus. I'm interested in staying in touch with down-to-earth "preppers" in the region.
I raise chickens in my backyard (or did until zoning came down on me--I've got them in an "undisclosed location" right now) and grow vegetables in gardens around the city. In a few weeks, I'll be doing a presentation on small-scale backyard chickens at the Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association's annual conference in Granville. I also manage a community garden and keep a blog on my farm website (frijolitofarm.com). After the OEFFA conference is out of the way, I'll be starting a blog on self-reliance, emergency preparedness, and learning to get through hard times by cooperating with people instead of shooting them--sort of a "survivalist" blog for the non-survivalist.
Anyway, nice to meet you, and I look forward to reading more of your writing here. (I don't watch sports either. Kind of mystifying living in a city where the football fans burn couches and cars anytime the Buckeyes win or lose a game.)
Congratulations on 100 follers!!I remember when there were only about a dozen of us!!...debbie
