White collar has always had a negative view of the blue collar. There would be no white collar if it were not for the blue collar.
They have not a clue what "poor" really is. That husband could use a good SMACK of reality as to know "those poor people" are more trustworthy then their middle and upper class ladder climbing butt kissers. I'll take my "poor" friends over the materialistic ones found out there. Chris, I'll see you for coffee soon! The Unusual Farmchickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07648809202485927305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5246519671003642380.post-15096532948416100302010-01-10T03:48:39.294-05:002010-01-10T03:48:39.294-05:00Great post Dawgus thank you for posting that. Me ...Great post Dawgus thank you for posting that. Me and a friend were just talking about the worth of money a coupla days ago. I am dead set on the very same thoughts as you. What the heck is money? It is an evil dirty little piece of paper is what it is. I wish we didnt need money at all because when we look around us, we really can do without out(land being paid for and all)it if we just work our land and use all available natural resources. It all comes down back to the basics we were taught early in life....food, clothes and shelter. Thats all we really need. The rest is just extra if not a burden. Thanks again. ~jenJenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04509348418996439007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5246519671003642380.post-91475102563172772572010-01-08T19:30:00.313-05:002010-01-08T19:30:00.313-05:00I compare it to "Beauty is in the eye of the ...I compare it to "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder", well... so is wealth. Some people think wealth is a bunch or paper notes in a bank, or even their pocket. Others think that credit is wealth and the illusion of wealth means wealth, right? To me wealth is not owing anyone anything, being able to enjoy the small momnets in life, like watching the dogs romp and play or chickens chase a grasshopper. Living below ones means and loving it is wealth, PTL!

Love your post, it really is in the eye of the beholder and if your happy than that is all that matters*wink*

Blessings from,
The Never Done FarmKelle at The Never Done Farmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06089557752054842197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5246519671003642380.post-36081448792029158012010-01-06T15:02:44.719-05:002010-01-06T15:02:44.719-05:00Bravo, that was so true, Chris, very true!!!Bravo, that was so true, Chris, very true!!!Leasmomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06527345508772411407noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5246519671003642380.post-29565087806458750342010-01-05T23:49:36.946-05:002010-01-05T23:49:36.946-05:00I completely agree with you. And it does help to better ones self. I am speaking of those who struggle to pay their rent, feed their children and can pay their taxes. Poor people to me are those who live in squallor, have no income, or a way to keep a job and own nothing. While I agree with what you say, there are many people who have no interest in owning land to work it for produce. They would rather go to the grocery. Some would like to but cannot afford to buy the land...You are so right in saying that you can be RICH in many ways other than having a lot of money. Look at Tiger Woods. He is a poor man right now - and all his money can't fix ALL his problems...Money, if handled in a good way can benefit one in many ways and can also help many other people who don't have anything. Thank goodness for those who give money to Charities - think of all the people they help. As long as one lives within his means...he is rich....debbieAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5246519671003642380.post-35465555710840520582010-01-05T19:32:08.863-05:002010-01-05T19:32:08.863-05:00"Rich" or "poor" ain't wha..."Rich" or "poor" ain't what someone looks like. Those people in the $250,000 homes driving the fancy cars may look rich, but that doesn't mean they are. How many of them own the house and cars? Usually, it's the bank that owns them. Their net worth may be less than zero. On the other hand, someone who looks poor because he/she lives in an old mobile home, drives an old truck, and doesn't have a full-time "regular" job may in fact be the rich person. Their home, property, and vehicles are paid for; their net worth is far in excess of the debt-laden "rich" person.

That's still analyzing the situation from a monetary perspective. There are other things which define my richness, not the amount of money and things I have. Things that are much more important, like the freedom to decide what to do and when to do it (or not) and the blessing of being with my family every day.dphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16205051256917210078noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5246519671003642380.post-66224198965924851992010-01-05T16:28:36.392-05:002010-01-05T16:28:36.392-05:00I was wondering about that, LOL.
